The rain returned about a month or so ago. October was the second wettest month on record in Portland, Oregon. In early November we were dry and the rain came back this week. I’ve lived here in Portland for over ten years and I’m originally from Chicago so I’m used to “weather”. The question though – are the dogs used to the rain? I’m so lucky – we were sent The Sierra Waterproof Dog Coat from Teckelklub to help with all our wet weather. Bruiser is grateful.

Bruisy has the Sky Blue on which is really cute on him and it’s embroidered!
The Sierra is available in a range of earth tones: Harvest Orange, Sky Blue to Storm Grey. The latest color Sugar Plum is a more feminine color that works well any season for rain, snow and wind protection. The Sierra is made with high quality 100% waterproof and breathable fabrics that do not trap moisture and provide protection for a range of activities in any weather condition and also features an opening at the back for leashes. The Sierra features charcoal grey, high quality anti-pill fleece lining for extra warmth and durability.
These are super comfortable and even in a down pour Bruiser remains completely dry under the coat — it also protects his belly!

I like the Made in the USA, and the ‘breathable’ idea. Cheaper dog coats do not have this one crucial element that guarantees a dog’s comfort. I know a dog would be really happy wearing one of these coats – they have quality sewn into every stitch!
Great practical idea to keep your pup warm and dry – that blue really looks good on him too.
I’m always on the lookout for coats for Miss Edie that fit well and keep her dry and warm. This jacket and colour looks great on Bruiser. Thanks for sharing

Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
This is such a cute dog coat! If it rained more down here in SoCal, I would definitely get one of these, as our dog HATES getting wet. He acts like it’s the end of the world. 🙂
This coat is absolutely adorable! I know our girls absolutely HATE the rain and how going outside for potty when it is raining (a major pain with two 75 lb dogs). I’m not curious to see if they offer this in their sizes -thank you. 🙂
Cute coat and I like the fleece lining, not all raincoats have that so I appreciate the extra warmth this will offer in the winter.
Magic doesn’t enjoy the rain at all. A doggy rain coat is brilliant!
I buy so many coats for my Victor my neighbour actually said, ‘wow, that dog has quite the wardrobe.’ What’s one more coat, right? Especially one for the rain. Right now he only has two. Actually, dressing him up and keeping him cute has gotten us a lot of forgiveness….

Looks really versatile, for rain, wind and snow. Like others, I also love the fleece lining as it provides that extra bit of warmth when needed.
I love that it fastens around the neck and belly and does not have a hood, as Layla hates hoods
Oh Bruiser, you handsome fellow! That color is great on him. Henry LOVES his Sierra – especially because, unlike his first raincoat (which was too small, anyway), he doesn’t have to stick his feet through any holes! I also agree that the fleece is really excellent quality. It’s so cozy and much better than most fleeces I see for human wear!

Ruby loves her Sierra jacket. I am really amazed at the fit. She’s kind of an odd size and often coats are too short or too loose. This jackets fits perfectly!
Looks like a great product – I just wish that makers would put the D-ring on rather than a whole forcing me to use a harness as well. The whole never aligns right with the harness and WHY put a harness if the coat can act as one? Just a little pet peeve. I get my tailor to put one on but it’s just … grrrrr…. but I DO like the idea of a waterproof coat!
I love the Teckelklub fleece that Theo won! We are just waiting for some cold weather so he can wear it.
Living in Seattle, where it does rain a bit, we highly recommend the Teckelklub’s Sierra Waterproof Dog Coat! We have a red one and a blue one – and we need to replace one of them due to age…. so now is just as good as any to go shopping for one!
Looks like a fabulous coat for rain. So sorry you are getting too much. We have had great weather but about to get cold. Kilo is not a fan of jackets but he might put up with this one. I too wish it had a halter hook.
I never thought about dogs wearing coats and vests outdoors because when I grew up with dogs, they always stayed outside. This looks like a great product.
My dog has a closet for his wardrobe. I never thought I’d be that mom but I am and proud of it. I must have this – he is low to the ground and when it rains, he comes in like I dropped him in a puddle.
It rather has been pouring lately. The coat looks great!
Looks like a wonderful coat! With Huskies, nature gave them a type of “waterproof” coat, however…one of ours, Chloe, truly dislikes rain touching her and does not like the cold (she didn’t get the whole northern breed memo!)so we do put her in a coat to let her out when it’s raining heavily. This one looks wonderful! I think she’d like it! Thanks for the great review!
Such a good investment for “outdoorsy type” lifestyles. Keeping a dog warm despite wet conditions can be the difference between healthy and unhealthy
This coat looks great! I can’t wait for Shasta to wear his. I love that it has a fleece lining and the waterproof leash attachment for wearing a harness. Teckelklub has truly though of everything a dog parent could want!
Made in the USA? Well color me down for that. Plus a fleece lining on those frigid mornings!
Right! They work really hard to keep manufacturing in the U.S. so the products are very well made. We’ve had their Fuzzies for years!
