Country girl meets city girl this week…
In celebration of Pooper Scooper week – I’m reviewing another alternative to the typical treat bag I clip on my waist before every walk with my three hounds. This existing bag serves a dual purpose as it hold treats and poop bags. The Association of Professional Animal Waste Specialists (aPaws) established this week “Pooper Scooper” week to educate pet owners on the importance of cleaning up after their dogs.
So I reviewed a product called “A Pet for Paws” –specifically a poop pick-up bag wristlet called The Scarlet. The Scarlet comes in multiple colors and I reviewed the cobalt blue. It’s super urban and chic. Unlike anything I’ve seen before, it’s perfect for your phone, keys, poop bags and some gum. I used it while walking Bruiser downtown Portland! You still need something to carry the poop bag after you pick up the poop so make sure your city tour is near some garbage cans!
The company has a line of accessories for pet parents including pouches, pet carriers and backpacks to carry poop bags! This is a great product if your dog travels with you into the city – it definitely beats the hip sack treat bag I’ve carried on and off for years. I’m a city girl at heart and it was fun having something chic to carry when walking Bruisy.
In addition, I also learned that “The Pet for Paws” collection consists of eco-conscious and cruelty-free pet carriers and accessories of fabric from recycled plastic bottles.

I’m waiting for a company to create a robot that will walk behind us on our daily outings and pick up and dispose of the poop for me 😉 In the meantime, this is a super cute alternative 🙂
LOL!! Ditto – I keep reviewing pick up accessories when the real truth is – I don’t want to pick up at all! 🙂 It’s very city girl and comes in some cute colors and patterns which makes pick up more “fun”!

Love it, my pocket has become a crumbly mess as I carry treats there and poop bags attached to her leash. I am have been looking for a small compact carry as its easier even when walking only one.
That’s how my jacket pockets are – full of treat crumbs. What I like about it – is it’s super cute and fits all major things when we’re doing errands and I don’t need my purse. When walking one dog it’s perfect and easy to carry. The only thing is it doesn’t fit “full” poop bags but hopefully there are garbage cans around!
