Energy Healing for Animals: An Interview with Author, Joan Ranquet
An interview with Joan Ranquet: “Energy Healing for Animals”, a must read book for all animal lovers
I devoured Joan’s book in one weekend. All the sections I loved were marked up and there are stickies everywhere. I was lucky enough to interview Joan about some key topics as well. We barely scratched the surface so I encourage anyone interested in topics ranging from animal communication to nutrition to vision boards to pick this book up. Your animals will thank you.
Q. What is Animal Communication and how is it discussed in your latest book?
A. I talk about telepathy- the transference of pictures, words and feelings. For me it’s words and feelings.
Q. Let’s talk about missing dog cases: When you were taking these cases, did you have a high success rate? –
A. It’s emotionally challenging for everyone involved. I have a program for people to become animal communicators. A lot of my graduates are great at it. But it’s so draining.
Q. Energy healing: You refer to your tool kit and how the tools depend on the situation. – Can you please expand on this?
A. For many of my phone cases, I use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping technique. One case may be a dog that has anxiety and destroyed someone’s garage for example… I’m also teaching about this technique and getting it out there. Animal Wellness will have an article this month.
When animals have health challenges – I use the Scalar Wave healing technique.
Q. I aw on your site that you host an Animal Communication trip with Dolphins – out in the Bahama’s!
A. Yes! It’s 6 days/5 nights – and geared towards animal communication. It’s connected swims and encounters with Dolphins
<Please visit the site for more information. Doesn’t that sound amazing!! I added a link to Amazon at the end too…>
Nutrition: You are what you eat! A section of her book addresses a topic close to my heart so I asked Joan to expand on what was written.
“I think that nutrition is the first step of energy medicine. If you don’t have good nutrition the minerals and vitamins and the herbs won’t absorb as well as they could,” says Joan enthusiastically. “If you up the Vitamin C, chiropractic adjustments hold better. You want to have the best nutrition possible if you want to be the best you can be. Question the legitimacy out of the same bag of food every single day. Folks should at least consider switching it up a bit. You don’t want to eat the same thing every day.”
Thoughts from Joan on nutrition? “The concept of feeding the same type of food every day is for starters not going to help anybody. What are the five first ingredients in that bag and is it food?! The types of kibble and canned food that you’re eating, preservatives and toxins – how much is food? Is it GMO? Is it organic?”
Q. What about herbs? This is an important piece in your book and in your resource section…
A. –I wanted to make this section relevant for folks. Even if we had the best soil on the planet, we don’t know what the protein source’s vitamin and mineral consistency is. Joan has a line called: Dynamite – “an herbal tonic”. It’s a bunch of herbs, and acts as a de-wormer.
Canine TNT is a combination of several proven Dynamite supplements in an all-in-one top-dress. Fantastic for support of healthy skin, coat, joints and general vitality, TNT provides nutrients that are otherwise cooked out of commercial foods.
And exercise is right up there with nutrition. A good hike or walk in the a.m. and getting those endorphin’s going, there isn’t much that cannot be shifted in a day.
Have you ever made a vision board? Joan talks about these and I made one! It reflects how I want the pack to feel with each other even when the dynamics are off and Sherm has anxiety. So it includes pictures with the three together in their happiest pack moments!

Great interview, thank you for sharing it. This is a new topic for me and sounds like it would be a very interesting read!
Thank you so much! The book is really cool and covers a broad range of topics for everyone!
Sounds like a very interesting read!
Thanks! She’s super cool and covers some interesting topics!
I’ve always been intrigued by animal communicators and toyed with finding one. For no real reason at all but I guess to know if my dogs are happy or if anything is bothering or ailing them.
Loved reading this. 🙂 thanks for sharing Christy.
Thanks! Me too – I always think about missing animals and whether that would help pin point where they are and get them home faster. Same – my dogs are so stoic (well the doxies) and they’ll tolerate just about anything unless they’re in obvious pain. Appreciate your comment! Have a great weekend!
Great interview and thanks for sharing
Thanks!
One of the other bloggers is going to school for animal communication and I think she’s going to read Mr. N at some point. You should see if she will do your pack too!
Oh that’s fantastic!! I would love to have a session with her – of course, sign me up!
What a great interview. I definitely have this book on my Amazon wish list.
Thank you! It also serves as a practical guide to different circumstances you may be going through with your animal.
I always fascinated by animal communicators. Two of my three dogs are rescues and I have always wondered about how what may have happened to them before I got them impacted who they are and how they are in the world as both are less secure than my oldest dog who I’ve had since she was a puppy. Great interview!
Me too! My dog Bruiser has a big scar on his head so I’m always curious how that happened. I’m so curious about the same types of things with my guys too.
Great interview! I read Communication with all Life by Joan and really loved it! I’ll have to check out her latest book.
Thank you! I haven’t read her other book yet so it’s super cool to hear you have! Definitely check this one out.
An interesting interview – we’ll have to check out her book.
Thank you!
Very interesting! I’m glad that she has been able to help some lost dogs to find their way home. Those are always scary moments!
Me too – I would call her in a second if I lost my dogs.
Very interesting. I have not doubt that nutrition, herbs, massage and exercise can all help keep dogs and humans healthy. I will have to read more about her animal communication and healing. We just interviewed a local friend who does energy healing. I’d love that dolphin trip – I have an uncanny ability to spot dolphins when by the ocean.
Can you imagine learning how to communicate with Dolphins? That’s cool that you interviewed someone who also practices energy healing, I’ll look for that on your blog for sure.
I’m adding this to my Pinterest ‘reading list.’ I do Reiki for my companions and love the effect is has. Great post!
Oh that’s amazing – you practice Reiki! Thank you for sharing that here!
I’m posting this on both my pet loss FB page and Ask Jodi. Great interview
Thank you so much!
I am not very familiar with energy healing for people or animals, but I think it is worth learning more about.
The book has a lot of super practical tips and techniques for pet parents – and a great resource section.
Totally pawesome interview – we believe and trust in energy heeling and just are so happy you posted about it!!
Thank you! Us too – I made a really fun vision board so I’ll let folks know how that’s turning out.
Very interesting topic and interview! I’m not that familiar with this topic but it sure is interesting.
Agreed – super cool topic, she goes into a lot of detail in her book and a lot of it is very practical.
This sounds wonderful! Thanks for the great interview. I had a long-distance Reiki healing session done with my Gibson, and believe in alternative therapies. This is so fascinating. Will have to check out this book!
Oh – you will really love this book then. I also have done Reiki with one of our dogs and she talks about those practices as well. Thank you!
Good interview…interesting topic…never heard of it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Appreciate that!
You did a really nice job with this interview. First time for me learning of this.
Thank you so much! The communication techniques were also new to me — the book has a lot of interesting tools for energy healing so pretty cool.
This sounds like a book I’d really like to read. Thank you for sharing the interview and review.
Thank you! I think you’ll really enjoy it!
Thanks for the interesting interview =) I’ve heard of this brand of animal communication — we had one a couple of times at a fundraiser for the shelter. Well done!
Thank you! Oh that’s so interesting — both techniques were new to me!
Wow, this is interesting!
Thanks!
I’ve never heard of this before. I’m interested in checking out the book just to see what’s involved. Have you had success with it?
Hi! I’ve had success with components of it like aromatherapy and raw diets, herbs so a lot of aspects in the Nutrition section. I also think vision boards are super powerful. You must get the book!
I have a friend who is an animal communicator and have had some of my animals read. I’m still skeptical but it is always fascinating. Great interview.
I would also love to hire a communicator to do a reading for my dogs – and the dynamic now that they’re older. I did have a reading done years ago for my dog, Bruiser. I agree that the news was very interesting – especially why he has a big scar on his head. Thanks so much for sharing that you have also had readings done. Thank you!
This looks like a great book! I’ll have to put it on my book list!
Thank you for sharing
x
Thank you so much! It has tons of great information – definitely check it out!
Thanks for sharing the interview. Joan’s book sounds like something I should read not just for my pets, but for my own health as well.
Honestly I learned so much! In fact, I created a vision board immediately after interviewing her!
Love your interview. I have heard of tapping having recently discovered what it is. (I would recommend adding some kind of a definition to newbies), and I had not thought nnutrition was so important.
Thank you.
Thank you! That’s such a good idea – honestly, I hadn’t heard of tapping either. And you’re right – I totally need to add a definition to this story and link out as it’s an impossible concept to explain without some sort of explanation…
Great interview! I LOVE this type of thing. I’d enjoy getting more into animal communication, as I totally believe in every bit of it. In terms of the herbs, we’re in the process of buying a new home (should be in it in about 45 days) and I already have a list of dog-friendly herbs to grow!
Me too – Joan does have some workshops in CA so they may be worth looking into… I figured I’d start slow — so just planted a few. 🙂
